Time For Renewal

Spring - a time when the earth comes to life after the cold, gray winter.   There is a feeling of anticipation in the air.  Birds begin to build their nests, flowers start to poke through the thawing ground, and the days begin to last a little longer.   Spring cleaning begins as families get rid of clutter and work together to freshen their homes.  It is a time of renewal.

Spring is a wonderful time to freshen up your marriage!  Remember the excitement you felt on your wedding day.  You were filled with anticipation and high hopes for your life together.  But maybe through the years your marriage has become stale.  You and your spouse have slipped into a mundane relationship and you are just two people who share the same address and hibernate on the couch every night.  Perhaps you have become a little lazy in love or have been taking your spouse for granted.  Like a house needs fresh air after being shut up all winter, sometimes our marriages need a little bit of fresh air.

Take some time to talk with your spouse about how you can renew and refresh your marriage.  What can you do to show your appreciation for each other?  How can you get that spark back in your relationship?  How can you better show respect and love for each other?  What attribute does each of you want to develop personally and how can you help each other develop that attribute?  How can you serve Christ better as a couple and individually?
